The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it's alarmed concerning the superior number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your large number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This SRD is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office focused on service the area every day. The provider issue established for intervention activities status sassa a higher inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it challenging with the office to sassa status attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra sources to empower the servicing of all clients and enhance usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
